Silver is one of several ores players will find while playing New World. It is used to craft trinkets, like rings, amulets, and earrings. These items give bonuses to stats like damage absorption and threat generation.

You must have a mining skill of 10 before you can mine silver veins. For an easier time finding these veins, ensure to level mining to 35. At this point, Silver veins will appear on the compass at the top of the screen.

Once you can mine these veins, you can take the ore to a smelter in any major town throughout New World. It takes four pieces of silver ore to smelt one ingot. Once you have some silver ingots, you can take them to an outfitting station in any major town in New World.

You must then craft the silver ingots into certain components which are then used to craft the trinket. There are four different trinket components.

Two different components are required to craft the various trinket types.

These components are not all that is required to craft the trinket of your choice. Make sure to save at least one of your ingots when crafting the component required for your trinket because each trinket recipe requires one plain silver ingot. You don’t want to use all your ingots to craft a component only to find that you need to venture out into the world and farm more silver or buy some from the trading post.

You’ll also need a gem. Gems provide special stats which give the trinkets their power. With silver and gems, you’ll be able to craft whatever trinket you need to conquer New World.
