Summed up,Academy Mode is a training mode for players to improve their skills and learn how to play the game.The developers acknowledged that since this is an entirely new generation of players for theHalofranchise, many might need help learning the ropes and developing techniques to use between the large selection of weapons and tools available. So, they designed an entire training for those players.

Academy Mode will feature Bots (AI-controlled opponents) for players to use as target practice and to help them develop their playstyle. Bots in Academy Mode can have their difficulty, frequency, and weapons altered to help players learn how to adapt to any combat situation.
