Singularity 6, the company behind the upcoming community sim MMOPalia, continues to treat us with ongoing character and creature reveals. This time, we get to learn more about Zeki, the owner of the general store, as well as the “infamous local pest” Chapaa creatures.

It’s quite a testament toPalia’s character designs that everything we need to know about the NPCs can be inferred from their appearance—just look at Zeki’s mischievous grin! And don’t forget the fancy suit. In response to a tweet about whether or not Zeki likes pets, the Palia team replied: “When you look as stylish as Zeki does on a daily basis, you don’t want anyone potentially getting your exquisite threads dirty.”

Alex Kintner, the artist behind the Chapaa, stated: “His design is inspired by a number of real world creatures, as well as some from popular fiction. There’s a little bit of boar, squirrel, beaver, and even chipmunk! We tried to make something familiar at first glance, but unique and memorable.” Job well done, Alex.
