MiHoYo’s Genshin Impact is still making waves in the gaming world, and it shows no sign of stopping anytime soon, especially when there are rumors of a major update on the way! On mobile devices, both iOS and Android, according to App Annie on Twitter, Genshin Impact has been downloaded over 17 million times over the first 4 days of launch. We’re unsure how that is split up between the two devices, but it’s a monumental feat regardless! Remember, this is only the first 4 days of launch!

Furthermore, this does not take into count the PC and PlayStation 4 figures, which no doubt increase that 17 million by a substantial amount. We do not have the stats of how many downloads the other two platforms have, but it’s fair to say it’ll be massive. It’s no surprise as Genshin Impact has been popular ever since the get-go, and will continue to grow far into the future.

Now that a week has passed, what are people expecting from the open-world action RPG? Well, if the rumored1.1 major updateis to be believed, coming in just a few weeks, we are expecting a massive region to be added into the title, as well as more characters, new quests, plus tons more. If miHoYo continue to support the game with updates like this, then there is nowhere to go but up.

We also haverumors have new bannerscoming around the same time as the new update, we’ll have to wait and see if they are also accurate, but it might be best to save up your Fates and see what happens!

TheNintendo Switch version has been confirmed, but we’ve got no news of when it’s being released. Having Genshin Impact on the Nintendo Switch is perfect, as having daily quests, Battle Pass missions fit the console’s portability. Unfortunately, there are still no words if the RPG will be coming to Xbox in the future, or if we’ll receive next-gen versions for Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, only time will tell.
