Splitgate is an FPS arena-based shooter that combines fast-paced gunplay with portals. The game is free-to-play, which allows a wide variety of players to access and play the game. Splitgate is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
With that in mind, you might be wondering if Splitgate is crossplay.The answer is yes. Splitgate allows users on all platforms to play together.This means you may play with your friends regardless of what platform you are on and speeds up the time it takes to find a match. You can even use your Splitgate ID to add your friends to your in-game friend’s list.

Crossplay is enabled by default, so if you only want to play with those on the same platform as you, you will have to turn this setting off manually. To turn this feature off, go to your Settings menu and navigate to the Privacy tab. The first option will be crossplay, and you simply need to uncheck the box. Doing so may increase your wait time for games as you will have fewer players to match with.
While Splitgate is crossplay, it does not feature cross-progression. This means that if you play on one platform, you won’t transfer your progress to another. You should carefully choose where you want to play Splitgate so you do not lose any progress. While there is no official word on implementing cross-progression, Ian Proulx, one of 1047 Games founders, stated the team would like to add cross-progression in the future.
