Like most successful MMOs, Final Fantasy XIV has a host of coveted mounts and steeds for players to unlock. One such mount that players can grab is the Gullfaxi, a bioluminescent stallion. But how does one get this beautiful beast for their mount collection?
To unlock the Gullfaxi mount, players need to use the Gullfaxi whistle, which players can only obtain fromThe Navel (Extreme) Trial. This is the most harrowing version of a fight with Titan, one of the game’s Primals. It’ll be a difficult encounter, so grab some friends and be prepared to chat with others to coordinate a successful run.

The Gullfaxi Whistle is not a guaranteed drop from The Navel’s Extreme Trial, meaning players may have to complete the boss several times before they get the item to spawn. It’ll occasionally appear in the Treasure Coffers once the boss is beaten, along with several other potential items. The possible rewards are listed below:

If the Gullfaxi Whistle does drop, it’ll go to the item loot pool. Each player will have to cast a lot for the item, and those who need it will be selected at random. Who ends up with the item is all up to chance.
