InMinecraft, some of the most popular mini-games on servers require you to build across vast areas to reach other islands or players. A couple of examples of these are games such as Bed Wars and Sky Wars. Sometimes in these games, you see other players building bridgesmuchfaster than you even though possible. In this guide, we’re going to show you a couple of different ways to build bridges as fast as they do.
How to Speed Bridge in Minecraft
One thing you should know is that there are several different methods of speed-bridging. Some of them are faster than others, but all of them depend on several factors to determine which one is best for you. You should consider the following in deciding which of these methods is best.
Once you have considered all these things, we can move forward with listing the different ways of speed bridging, from slowest and easiest to fastest.
Easy: The Classic Angle
We’ve outline exactly how to do this one in the image above. Building a bridge at normal speed requires you to angle your view slightly upward to place your block against the block in front of you. However, as you can see, you can also angle your view to almost exactly 45 degrees from the corner of the previous block. This almostdoublesyour placement speed. You must be angled perfectly both horizontally and vertically, though. If you’re not, you will drift along the edge of the block and lose the ability to place them correctly.
Normal: The Strafe
This one requires your trigger finger to befastand for you to have good timing. This is a very fast way to place blocks. The image above shows what kind of movements you will make to place your blocks. Instead of crouching, you will strafe back and forth andpress the placement button as fast as you can. Your vertical alignment doesn’t need to be perfect, but having it a little bit off increases the chance of missing the block when you’re trying to place it. You must strafe left and right fromthe middle of each block. Strafing from the edge of a block is a fast way to fall!
Hard: The Stand and Crouch
This one is the most difficult to operate, but the fastest way to speed bridge. You need to juggle between several different factors to make this work properly. The first thing you need to do is angle your vertical and horizontal alignment as you did forThe Classic Angleabove. You need to keep this angle while placing blocks as fast as possible andalternating between crouching and standing.

This requires impeccable timing and rhythm. Immediately after you place a block, release the button or key for crouching and then press it again as you approach the edge, just before you place the next block.Repeat this motion. Although it’s incredibly challenging to master, you’ll notice that you are making it across wide gaps in no time! What we have found works for us is to focus on the sounds, if you can.
It’s simple to understand but difficult to get it down. If you have better suggestions for the methods we listed or even a better method, drop us a comment!
