With Starmancer having just been released, many of us are looking to see how to complete the basics. The game’s tutorial isn’t very intuitive, and it skips a few necessary instructions for new players. In the guide below, we explain how to save your game and load a previously saved file.
In the image above, you can see what you’ll usually see when you are playing a game in Starmancer. Look to the top right of the screen to see an icon with three lines. Click that icon to open the Game Menu. Alternatively, you can also press thekey (‘Esc’) on your keyboard to open the Game Menu.

From there, you have can select the game option to Save, as shown in the image on the left above. Then, you are given the option to name your new save file, or write this game over a previous save file. Once you have chosen, select theConfirmbutton to save your game.
Note:On the Game Menu, you can also load or modify previous save files. Be sure to selectSavewhen you’re saving your game, or you might lose progress on the one you’re playing.
