What is Renown in WoW: Shadowlands?
Renown is a new system that displays your current standing within the Covenant of your choosing. Your Renown level reflects the trust you’ve gained with your Covenant, and reaching higher Renown levels unlocks access to exclusive items like mounts, pets, cosmetics, and more. Renown also grants you additional Soulbind slots, so you’ll definitely want to increase your levels to earn these perks.

There are 40 total Renown levels. Max out your Renown to unlock all of the available benefits, as well as four achievements (one for every ten levels of Renown earned).
There are three primary ways to rank up your Renown:
Renown Catch-Up System
Did you recently switch Covenants or fall off of the weekly Renown leveling quests? No worries—the Renown Catch-Up system allows players to make up the difference by completing various other tasks, like raids, PvP, Callings, and dungeon completions. You’ll still need to grind a bit to get your Renown level up, but these alternative options make the process so much more bearable.
