A curious bug that can sometimes affect players in New World is quest objectives or the quest tracker disappearing from the map entirely.

When this happens, the icons that show where quests are located in New World are gone entirely, and it becomes impossible to track and locate them.

You can fix the missing quest tracker by going through a few steps. The first is to close the map and open it again. If it doesn’t work, your next step would be to leave your server and rejoin.

Doing so should be enough to reset the quest tracker for you. But if leaving the server and rejoining does not work, you will need to go with more drastic measures.

You will need to leave the game entirely and then re-launch it. After the game loads in, try and join the server again. Once you join, the quest tracker should be reset when you get back.

However, before you leave the game, verify to try to leave and join the server first from within the game.

Leaving the server in either way was the only way we were able to make the quest tracker reappear. But with server queues how they are, you won’t want to go with the relaunching route until you try the within the game option.
