Deep below House Beneviento lies one of the most frightening sequences inResident Evil Village. Ethan is met with a slew of puzzles that range from a dissectable (albeit familiar) doll to a pitch black well. The tension ramps up with every solved clue, leading to a chase sequence involving a sluggish Baby Monster.
After recovering theBreaker Box Keyfrom the well, you’ll first encounter the Baby Monster guarding the elevator (and the breaker box). Immediately turn heel andrun back to the main roomwith the Save Point. This is the same room where you began puzzle-solving and dissecting the doll.
Turn left into thesmall laboratorywhere you will have two options: Hide in the locker or use the table to outmaneuver the Baby Monster.We chose hiding.If you hide inside the locker and close it, the Baby Monster will fling the table across the room and eventually leave. Wait for the Baby Monster to leave, which will also grant you some safety. That is, for now…

Run back through the long hallway to the elevator andopen the breaker box with the Breaker Box Key.Inside the breaker box is theRelief of a Childitem. You’ll need this to find the Fuse.
Still near the breaker box and elevator, pass through the White Door andinto the Study,the same place where you solved the film strip puzzle earlier.Enter the hidden roomand crouch down to pass through a new hallway. Use the scissors on the tape if you haven’t already.
Within this secret hallway you will find a locked door with a mother holding a child.Use the Relief of a Child item on the door.You’ll notice this new area is powered with light. Not for long, as you’ll be forced to take the Fuse found within the bedroom. Notice the bed you can hide under…
When you’ve grabbed the Fuse, run back the way you came but be prepared for another ambush. The Baby Monster will burst through the exit, forcing you torun back to the bedroom.Back inside the bedroom,hide under the bed.You can either make a mad dash when the Baby Monster provides an opening or you can wait for the Baby Monster to leave the bedroom, allowing one temporary sigh similar to the lab room section.
Finally,head back to the elevator roomand place the Fuse inside the breaker box. Press that elevator button as fast as possible and wait for the doors to open. You should have a sliver of time to enter the elevator and press the button before the Baby Monster reaches you.
You may be safe from the Baby Monster now, but upstairs lurks a separate boss entirely…
