How to Eat in Minecraft
With this guide, we’re assuming you are using the default controls that are set up with the game. If you have changed them, this guide might not work as expected. Still, the general idea is that you mustpress and hold the secondary action buttonto eat food. We explain this more below.

Because this is a straightforward task, we’re going to provide you directly with the controls you need to do it. If you have remapped your secondary action button, you need to press and hold that button instead of the button listed below.
These controls apply to all edible items except Cake. To eat Cake, it must be placed on a solid block. Use the same button you used to eat the other foods, but instead of holding it, just tap it while you’re looking directly at the cake.
