Genshin Impact Contending Tides Event
Contending Tides Event starts onApril 2, 2021, at 10 am Server Time. To access this challenge while learning an array of various rewards, you need to get to Dadaupa Gorge. The event ends onApril 12, 2021, at 03.45 am Server Time.
Of course, like any event in the game, you must be at a certain Adventure Rank to be able to take part, so you must be atAdventure Rank 20or above to join the fray. If you are close to that rank and want to earn some rewards in thrilling battles, we advise you to do as many quests and bosses as possible to boost yourself as swiftly as possible.

Contending Tides has a multitude of difficulty levels, and every day one new challenge will unlock with three new difficulties to attempt. Players can select any of these difficulties. If you complete a higher difficulty, this will automatically clear any challenge on the lower difficulties.
There is risk/reward involved, as the higher the challenge, the more rewards you will earn! For example:
This event is not so simple as killing things one after the other. Each challenge has a trio of criteria that must be completed. If you do not succeed in all three, the challenge will fail.
Moreover, each challenge will also buff/enhance certain abilities or boost certain effects. Make sure to pay close attention to these, so you know what you are up against and how to use them to your advantage.
Sadly, using the new World Level change mechanic will not alter the difficulty of these event challenges.
Day One | Welcome to Easy Mode
For this challenge in the arena, there is a circle aura. If you stay inside the aura, you’ll receive a huge Attack Boost!
Day Two | Don’t Sweat It
For this challenge in the arena, all Damage dealt by Electro-Charged reactions is massively increased!

Day Three | Art of the Cannonball
For this challenge in the arena, all Plunging Attacks release powerful shockwaves and increase the Damage of your next Plunging Attack. In the center of the area, a constant gust of wind is enabled; use this to help with Plunging Attacks.
Day Four | Battle of Epoch
For this challenge in the arena, when any Normal to Charged Attacks hit frozen opponents, shockwaves will be released.
Day Five | To the Bitter End
For this challenge in the arena, the lower your Health the higher the Bonuses they receive will be.
Day Six | Shock Me, I Dare You!
For this challenge in the arena, Normal and Charged Attack Speed are increased, and stamina consumption is also decreased. But defeating opponents with a Charged Attack grants a stacking bonus that increases the damage of Charged Attacks.
