Valentine’s Day has now passed, and Epic has something amazing up their sleeves, according to leakers. All we know is that a few popular LTM are coming back, and a weapon, fans love is being unvaulted.
Update Release Date & Time
TheFortnite15.40 Patch has been officially announced and will be released on Feb. 16 at 3 am CT (9 am UTC).
Server Downtime
The downtime for thisFortniteupdate will start at 3am CT (9am UTC) and will end roughly about 6 am CT (12:00 UTC) though this may vary depending on how swiftly Epic can upload the patch. In other words, don’t wait around for it, even if you’re excited to play!

Epic did not send out official patch notes to content creators this week, as this update is small in size. The only information we have to go off is the following thatFortniteStatustweeted out.

All we know is a few things about this upcoming patch.

Please note: With the v15.40 update, we’ll be removing unreleased assets and props that are currently being used in some Creative islands.
Unvaulted Favorite
This could mean anything truly, but the words Blast Back, is a massive hint. With the release of the new Exotic Quad Launcher, which has enough boom for its buck, we believe something more explosive will be making a comeback.
Also, this is a vaulted fan favorite, so it’ll be something very popular. But for all we know, it could even be a Shotgun they are referencing! We’ll know more information when the patch drops!
LTM: Air Royale and Floor is Lava
Two Limited Time Modes are making a return for 15.40!
Air Royale was extremely popular back when it first launched, and now no doubt, you’ll be glad to hear that it’s back! Will you make it to be the last one flying?
Climb aboard a Stormwing and take to the skies in this fast-paced mode where players fight to be the last one flying!
The Floor is Lava has always been popular, especially whenTheGrefgskin was released, and his favorite LTM, The Flood is Lava came back not so long ago. But alas, it is back again!
Dangerous lava rises gradually from the lowest parts of the map. Quickly loot, gather materials, and then start building up to stay away from the lava!
