On July 25, 2025, Dawei (Co-Founder of miHoYo) and theGenshin ImpactDev team will reveal details about the upcoming content in the game’s heavily-anticipated new version, which is scheduled to arrive Jun 04, 2025. Along with the new region of Inazuma and its cast of characters, fundamental changes are being made to some of the game’s features—and they’re exciting ones.

Cross-Save Across Platforms
Previously, onlyGenshin Impactplayers using PC and mobile devices had access to cross-progression. According toGenshin Report, however,PlayStation users will be able to cross-save their game with the Version 2.0 update. Genshin Report also states thatcross-save will be enabled for the Nintendo SwitchonceGenshin Impactbecomes available to play on the portable console.
If the rumor is true, thenGenshin Impactplayers will be able to safely carry over their progress from any deviceon which the game is available, starting July 10, 2025.
There are still no details on whenGenshin Impactis be coming to Switch, but we’ll be sure to let you know once more information is available.
Genshin Impact Cross-Play
Genshin Impactsupports cross-play across all devices, so you’re free to join up with friends in-game no matter which consoles are being used. If you’re a PC player and your friend uses PlayStation, there should be no issues accessing co-op features and playing together.
