Birthdays
Giving villagers gifts on their birthday greatly increases the amount of relationship points you receive! You don’t always have to give them great gifts, but you definitely should give them the perfect gift on their birthday to maximize your relationship with them.
Wrap your Gifts
One thing you always want to do iswrap your gifts. This gives extra relationship points, as it shows the villagers that you put in that extra effort.
Universal Gifts
As we mentioned above, there are some gifts that are liked by all Villagers. These gifts don’t typically improve your relationship with them by a lot, but they’re good (or bad!) options for that extra boost. Here are the universally liked/disliked gifts.

Clothing
Clothing is generally the best type of gift for your villagers. It doesn’t have the potential of messing with their decor, and is usually the easiest way to access gifts villagers love since so many of them are available for purchase at any time. When you’re buying clothes for your villagers, you need to pay attention to thestyleandcolorsof the clothes to match them with the styles and colors the villager enjoys!
