There is one catch, however:not every controller works well with Xbox Cloud Gaming, unfortunately. Because there are so many different types of controllers available for purchase from several Xbox generations, it’s important to know which controllers are compatible with this new service.

Thankfully, Microsoft has disclosed a list of controllers guaranteed to work with xCloud to make things easier for those hopping into the service for the first time.
There are currently eight manufacturers that players can reliably purchase controllers from for their Xbox Cloud Gaming needs.The following controllers are proven to work with Xbox Cloud Gaming services.These are USB and Bluetooth compatible unless otherwise specified.
Microsoft: Xbox Next-Gen Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 1 (USB only,) Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, Xbox Adaptive Controller
8BitDo: SN30 Pro Controller for Xbox Cloud Gaming on Android (Bluetooth only), N30 Pro 2
Backbone:Backbone One (Compatible with with iOS via Lightning Port)
Ipega: 9023s Extending Game Controller (Bluetooth only)
MYGT: Gamepad (Bluetooth only)
PowerA:MOGA XP5-X Plus Bluetooth Controller for Mobile & Cloud Gaming Android/PC, MOGA XP5-A Plus Bluetooth Controller for Android/Windows 10

Keep in mind that other controllersmaywork with Xbox Cloud Gaming, but results will vary depending on the product.Microsoft recommends that players use controllers listed as Official Xbox products or Designed for Xbox for the best Cloud Gaming experience.
