Google Chrome browser extensions like AdBlock also exist for theRobloxweb client, with the goal of making the online experience that much better. While some extensions do improve theRobloxclient, we don’t think the risk to your PC is worth it.

3 Reasons to Avoid the Best Roblox Browser Extensions

Robloxbrowser extensions are programs available on the Chrome Web Store that can be installed into Google Chrome. The two most popularRobloxextensions we’ve seen floating around are BTRoblox and Roblox+. Both extensions add customization features such as modifying the look of theRobloxwebsite and immediate notifications when a new item enters the Avatar Shop, amongst many other features.

While some extensions are created to make the game better, we don’t feel the risk is greater than the reward. Nor have we at PGG tested any extensions. Here are three reasons why we think mostRobloxplayers should avoid downloading them.

1. Potential Viruses

While additional features fromRobloxextensions are cool and even helpful, these browser extensions are made by third-party developers, many of which aren’t affiliated with theRobloxcompany. As a result, downloading these browser extensions come with the risks of downloading a virus.

Robloxscams are a real thing. While someRobloxbrowser extensions are safe, extensions aren’t vetted properly. Meaning, downloading random extensions pose the risk of downloading a virus to your PC. The last thing we’d want to see is aRobloxplayer lose their hardware, theirRobloxaccount, or even their hard-earned Robux due to an unnecessary virus.

2. Roblox Extensions don’t make you a better player

Will theseRobloxbrowser extensions make you a better player? No, and they don’t have any effect on your actual gameplay. Meaning, extensions have zero effect onRobloxgames. Instead, these extensions only enhance theRobloxweb client to make for a slightly better experience, adding features that might otherwise feel missing from theRobloxclient.

Note:Robloxextensions will absolutely not give players free Robux. Avoid these extensions at all costs!

3. The Roblox Client is already pretty great as it stands

Overall, we like theRobloxclient. Customizing our avatar? Check. Browsing the Avatar Shop? Check. Discovering fun new games? Check, again.

MostRobloxplayers already benefit from the built-in features included by theRobloxcompany. Many won’t need the missing features that are created by third-partyRobloxbrowser extensions. And chances are, theRobloxcompany is already testing these features for future release anyway. As regular players, we feel theRobloxclient gets the job done.
